7:40 Los Angeles Angels @ Colorado

Tonight the Los Angeles Angels will be traveling to Colorado for a three game series.  This will be the first of 4 series of interleague play that will be against every team in the NL West.

C.J. Wilson is on the mound tonight for the Los Angeles Angels.  This year he has a 6 – 4 record and a 2.54 ERA.  In his last five starts he has only allowed 4 runs over 29 1/3 innings.  During that stretch he has faced Texas twice, Seattle, Oakland, and Chicago White Sox.  In the last five games for LA they have average 4.6 runs scored, with a record of only 3 – 3.  In their last series the problem for the Angels was their pitching, giving up 17 runs in a three game series against the Seattle Mariners.  C.J. Wilson should be the remedy that is needed in order for the Angels to get back into the win column.

The Colorado Rockies have Alex White on the mound tonight.  White has a 2 – 3 record this year in 6 appearances with a 5.60 ERA.  White has been roughed up a few times in the last month with two occasions giving up 6 runs. Offense has also been a problem for Colorado.  In their last five games they have averaged only 2 runs a game.  Ian Kennedy is the only person they faced that is worth mentioning has a pitcher that low runs are expected.

Colorado should have problems getting men across the plate tonight with C.J. Wilson on the mound.  While the Angels should be able to put up some runs thanks to hitter friendly Coors Field.

Projected score: LA Angels 6 – Colorado 2

Pick: Best Play Los Angeles Angels (-148)
